TriWest Sponsors Lt. Dan Band Performance for Families of Fallen Service Members at Snowball Express Gala
PHOENIX, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ — TriWest Healthcare Alliance will spread holiday cheer to children and spouses of fallen Service members as a presenting sponsor of Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band concert at this year’s Snowball Express gala. TriWest will also sponsor counselors from the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) at the event.
The Snowball Express is an all-expenses paid event in Southern California from November 30 through December 3, with the purpose of bringing together nearly 1,500 military family members who lost spouses, fathers and mothers.
On Friday, Nov. 30, TAPS counselors will conduct voluntary morning gatherings for children and spouses at the families’ local hotels. Later in the evening, all of the families will attend a special dinner in their honor, including a private performance by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band at The Grove in Anaheim, Calif.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, families will be taken to Oakley Corporation headquarters for entertainment and visits from celebrities, and on Sunday, Dec. 2 they will go to Disneyland.

Sinise Accepts Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival’s Career Achievement Award
The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival honored Gary Sinise with their Career Achievement Award on Friday, November 9 at the Miniaci Theatre on the campus of Nova Southeastern University in south Florida. Members of the Sinise family including Gary’s wife, Moira Harris, daughter Ella, and proud parents Bob and Millie Sinise joined film aficionados in the 498-seat theatre for a 90 minute Inside the Actor’s Studio style Q&A with Gary.
The evening began with reading congratulatory letters from Mel Gibson and Albino Alligator director, Kevin Spacey. Three short film montages were shown in between question and answer segments led by local film critic Phoebe Flowers. (In the coming days, I will post an entry about the questions posed and Gary’s responses; I wanted to get these photos up for everyone sooner rather than later).
After attending a screening of fellow festival guest Mary Stuart Masterson’s film The Cake Eaters, Gary and family joined guests at the Signature Grand for a reception in his honor. Gary also attended screenings of his movies Of Mice and Men and Wallace while attending the festival.
