Fort Lauderdale Film Festival: An Evening with Gary Sinise
The fine folks at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival will present Gary with a Career Achievement In Film Award on Friday, November 9th, 7:00PM at the Miniaci Performing Arts Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Gary is scheduled to attend the event which will include a collage of clips reflecting upon some of his memorable screen moments and an (Inside The Actors Studio style) audience Q&A. A reception will follow at the Signature Grand.
Throughout the festival FLIFF will present some of Gary’s most memorable movies: Forrest Gump, The Human Stain, Truman, Ranson, Wallace and Of Mice and Men.
As of tonight, tickets for “An Evening with Gary Sinise” are still available: $30 General Admission, $20 for FLIFF members. Please see: FLIFF schedule for details.

The good news is: I have tickets! The bad news: I have a commitment until 3pm in Sarasota that same day. I hope to cut it back to 2pm, but it will still be a quick trick to get to Ft. Lauderdale before 7pm - especially on a Friday.
If nothing else, I expect we’ll be late to the tribute by a few minutes. We’ll definitely be at the reception after. With any luck, Gary will be in attendance to accept congratulations (but no one has indicated that’s part of the evening).
I’ll keep my fingers-crossed for a nice evening with fellow admirers of his work and hopefully bring back some photos to share. Anything more - will be icing on the cake!

Gary Sinise is scheduled to attend the event, accept his award, and do an audience Q&A on November 9 at Miniaci Performing Arts Center on Nova Southeastern University Campus.

FYI - Gary will also be at the screening of WALLACE Nov 9, 2:00 PM
and OF MICE AND MEN Nov 10, noon
to intro the films and do a Q&As after
And Gary will be in attendance at the reception following the tribute Nov 9.

I hope someone can ask Gary what we need to do to get Wallace released on DVD. It’s a real shame that people don’t have easy access to it anymore.

You (or any other fan) should come to the Nov 9 FREE screening of Wallace and tell him that. He is very proud of that film and would love to hear it!

This sounds great and I would love to be able to go. I just asked a friend of mine and she said she will try to get out of work early so we could go. I live about 2 hours north of Ft. Lauderdale and need to go to Miami on Saturday so it will be crazy - but probably worth it!
