The Lt. Dan Band’s Summer USO Tour

Military newspaper Stars & Stripes has a few details about the LDB’s summer USO tour.  They’ll be playing five shows in Germany: Spangdahlem (May 8th), Hohenfels (May 9), Ansbach (May 10), Stuttgart (May 11) and Ramstein (May 14).  They also have one performance scheduled for Belgium, on May 12 in Mons.

I like to say that I was floored on how good the Lt Dan Band was. I can’t say enough about the quality of music and the heartfelt performances. The two young ladies who both have angelic voices put a lot of heart into thier songs which was evident in their performance. Gary himsself was awsome. [edited by mod. for political content] Gary and other country music singers quietly go to Iraq, perform for us, without much fan fare. Well I’m here to tell you that Gary and his band should be out there on the news [edited by mod. for political content]. Heres a man who gives of himself, his time, and his money, since when performing in USO shows, they don’t get paid. I had the privilage to work backstage and get to talk to the band members who did nothing but thank us for what we do. I’m sure I speak on behalf of all of us who serve, Gary and the Lt Dan Band we thank you for your time, and making us feel a little closer to home when you perform for us overseas. Although I saw the Band in Hawaii this year, the band has done around 45 other USO shows which we are thankful for. Again thank you and may God Bless you all.

    Dear MSgt Gregoire, CT USMC:

I have seen Gary on numerous talk shows telling everyone about his causes, so take heart that his voice will some day be heard, and that it is.

Thanks for supporting and protecting our Country because it is much appreciated.

I have seen the band play, too, and they are just AWESOME!

    Mr. Sinise,

First of all I want to thank you so very much for your support of our troops.
A quick question I have written a book of my time in Vietnam. The title of my book is Vietnam: No Regrets “One Soldier’s Tour of Duty” I have been traveling the East Coast doing book signings at numerous Military Bases and haved sold over two thousand, so far. I have also sent to our troops in Iraq over one and fifty free signed copies of my book. I would like to send one to you and if you will, read it and give me your opinion. I have been told it is a story a great movie can be made from.
If possible I would love to accompany you and your band on your tour of the Middle East this summer. I would bring with me as many of my books as it would take. As a COMBAT VETERAN of VIETNAM I would consider it an honor to visit our troops.

With Great Respect to a Great American
